Qualifications

• Licensed attorney with at least 5 years of litigation experience.
• Experience litigating class actions, consumer protection, or product liability, preferably in automotive.
• Experience counseling on advertising and marketing compliance (FTC, UDAP).
• Strong writing, communication, and issue-spotting skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel and work in a hybrid/in-office setting.

Responsabilités

• Manage a team of internal and external stakeholders on class action litigation and related claims.
• Provide guidance to MBUSA business units on legal issues affecting customer claims.
• Review marketing materials for compliance and accuracy across digital and traditional media.
• Develop proactive strategies to evaluate claims and control litigation costs.
• Coordinate discovery, prepare witnesses, and represent the company in legal matters.
• Lead interdisciplinary and international working groups as needed.
• Collaborate with corporate communications on press releases and social content.
• Keep legal management informed of major lawsuits and perform root-cause analyses.
• Supervise paralegals supporting litigation work.
• Work with business teams to reduce risk and improve processes.
• Conduct legal research and document findings via memoranda.
• Utilize AI and other tools to manage legal topics efficiently.
• Provide general legal support on ad hoc questions and risk mitigation.
