Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a Senior Counsel to support its Services group in the North America Markets. The role focuses on structuring, drafting, and negotiating high-volume commercial contracts and providing strategic legal support across data usage/privacy, IP, and regulatory matters.

The Senior Counsel will collaborate with product and go-to-market teams, serving as a trusted advisor to the business and coordinating with international colleagues as needed. JD and bar admission are required.

Qualifications

• JD required and bar admission in good standing.
• Experience drafting and negotiating high-volume commercial contracts.
• Experience in corporate/commercial law within a corporate environment.

Responsibilities

• Structure, draft, and negotiate high-volume commercial contracts including master services, platform, and marketing agreements.
• Assist with strategic/complex deals and collaborate with product/go-to-market teams.
• Act as trusted advisor on deal matters and general business issues; interact with business clients.
• Manage data usage/privacy, intellectual property, compliance, regulatory and tax issues with SMEs.
