Job summary

Mastercard seeks an experienced attorney to provide end-to-end strategic support to the global Commercial and SME Solutions business in New York, focusing on developing SME products and services and expanding Mastercard acceptance.

The role requires a JD from an accredited law school, at least 7 years of experience, and strong drafting and negotiation skills. Independent yet collaborative, you’ll work across regions and regulatory regimes to drive value.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer with solid academic background and at least 7 years of experience.
• Licensed to practice in the relevant jurisdiction.
• Strong drafting and negotiating skills with ability to explain complex concepts.

Responsibilities

• Advise SME clients and negotiate complex customer and vendor agreements.
• Assess legal and business risks across new product constructs and commercial agreements.
• Collaborate with internal experts on regulatory, privacy, antitrust issues and product guidance.
• Support business development to enable product sales and strategic partnerships.
