Job summary

Anaconda, Inc. is seeking a Senior Counsel to close complex deals and build scalable playbooks that accelerate future negotiations.

You will partner with the enterprise, commercial, and mid-market sales teams, advising on licensing, data governance, and regulatory questions while using AI to speed drafting and negotiation. This fully remote role requires a JD, 8+ years of experience, and a proven track record in SaaS, partnerships, and vendor agreements.

Qualifications

• JD or equivalent from an accredited law school with a license to practice.
• Minimum 8 years of relevant legal experience.
• Extensive experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements and IP licenses.
• Strong knowledge of commercial/IP law and data protection regulations.
• Ability to translate complex issues into practical guidance.

Responsibilities

• Close deals quickly with enterprise, commercial, and mid-market teams.
• Provide hands-on support to sales and customer success while managing risk.
• Build and improve templates, playbooks, and resources for faster future deals.
• Handle diverse legal needs across product, marketing, and operations.
• Advise leadership on strategic legal matters to enable growth.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate drafting and negotiations without sacrificing quality.
• Mentor junior members of the Legal Team.
