Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking an Assistant General Counsel, Business Development Transactions Law, to lead enterprise-level legal strategy and a team of attorneys in support of BD deals, including licensing, collaborations, and M&A.

The role partners with senior leaders across Law, Finance, and Business Development to manage risk, set precedent, and ensure successful execution across the transaction lifecycle.

Qualifications

• J.D. degree and admission to a state bar.
• 15+ years of legal experience in biopharmaceuticals/lLife sciences.
• Experience leading complex transactions and advising senior executives.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory environment and deal structures.
• Leadership experience managing senior attorneys in a matrixed environment.

Responsabilités

• Set and execute the legal strategy for BD Transactions.
• Advise on complex and novel transaction structures.
• Oversee drafting and negotiation of high-value BD transactions.
• Own due diligence model and coordinate with IP, litigation, antitrust, regulatory, tax, and other teams.
• Lead and develop a team of BD Transactions attorneys and manage external counsel.
