Job summary

Qualifications

• J.D. degree and bar admission required.
• 15+ years of legal experience in biopharmaceuticals/life sciences.
• Track record of leading senior attorneys in a matrixed environment.
• Ability to manage multiple high-priority projects in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong judgment, strategic thinking, and executive presence.

Responsibilities

• Set and execute the legal strategy for BD Transactions.
• Advise on complex and novel transaction structures.
• Anticipate deal trends and regulatory developments to mitigate risk.
• Oversee structuring, drafting, and negotiation of high-value transactions.
• Own the due diligence model and cross-functional coordination.
• Select and manage external counsel and legal spend.
• Lead and develop a team of BD Transactions attorneys.
• Drive performance management and accountability for the portfolio.
• Define templates, playbooks, and escalation protocols.
