Job summary

Uber is seeking a Senior Counsel to own and support a wide range of commercial matters for its Autonomous Mobility & Delivery business. You will draft and negotiate agreements, interpret and expand contracts with AV companies, OEMs, fleet operators, and other partners, while advising on data, regulatory, safety and privacy.

This role spans global environments and cross-functional teams. You will partner with Operations, Engineering and Business Development to enable autonomous vehicle products

Qualifications

• J.D. and license to practice law in at least one state.
• Minimum of 8 years of commercial legal experience in private practice, in-house and/or government, including at least 1 year of applicable commercial transactions experience.

Responsibilities

• Drafting and negotiating new agreements governing deployments across mobility and delivery use cases.
• Interpreting, amending, and expanding existing agreements to support expanding relationships with AV companies, OEMs, fleet operators, and other ecosystem participants.
• Counseling business clients on data, IP, regulatory, safety and privacy principles, including in global environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to launch autonomous, fleet and electric vehicle products on the Uber platform.
• Review products and programs to ensure commercial, regulatory, and safety considerations flow through those initiatives.
• Support new product offerings and platform offerings, including drones, VTOLs, and other emerging transportation technologies.
