Job summary

Uber seeks a strategic Product Counsel to support the Mobility Legal Team, advising product and operations on legal matters from development through launch and beyond. You will work with product managers, engineers and designers to integrate practical legal guidance into the Driver experience for Uber's core rides products.

The role requires a J.D. and at least five years of legal experience, with strong communication and collaboration skills across global teams.

Qualifications

• J.D. and license to practice law in at least one state.
• Experience advising on technology platforms, consumer protection, privacy, and data security.

Responsibilities

• Advise product managers, engineers, designers, and operations on legal aspects of Uber's Driver app and rides products.
• Identify and mitigate legal risks across employment, consumer protection, privacy, data security, litigation risk, regulatory, and antitrust.
• Collaborate with Litigation, Marketing, Employment and regional teams to provide global guidance.
• Draft and negotiate contracts with vendors for Driver App initiatives.
• Create policies to ensure consistent application of legal guidance.
