Job summary

Uber is seeking a strategic Product Counsel to join our Mobility Legal Team, supporting the operations and product groups responsible for the technology powering Uber's global rides business. This role involves advising business clients from product development through launch and beyond.

You will work with product managers, engineers, designers, analysts and operations staff to scale the Driver experience and related services, while identifying legal risks and providing practical guidance.

Qualifications

• J.D. and license to practice law in at least one state.
• Minimum of five (5) years of legal experience in private practice, in-house, or government.

Responsibilities

• Advise product managers, engineers, designers, analysts, and operations staff developing Uber's ride technology.
• Identify and develop risk mitigations across employment, consumer protection, privacy, data security, and antitrust.
• Collaborate with internal legal teams and regional teams to provide cohesive global advice.
• Draft and negotiate contracts with vendors for driver app initiatives and related terms and policies.
• Create and implement policies to ensure consistent legal guidance and risk alignment.
