Job summary

Unity is seeking a senior legal leader to own the company’s AI product portfolio, spanning desktop and editor AI agents, generative tools, and related monetization products. You will shape data-rights frameworks and consent considerations across Grow, while drafting licenses and data-sharing arrangements.

You will partner with product, engineering and data science teams to convert privacy, IP and regulatory constraints into actionable requirements, helping scale the company’s positions across

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice law with in-house or law-firm experience counseling technology product teams directly.
• Demonstrated ownership of legal counseling for AI or machine‑learning products, including training‑data rights and model licensing.
• Working command of global privacy law (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, COPPA) applied to SDKs, telemetry, and ads data.
• Ability to draft and negotiate commercial technology agreements independently.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary legal counsel for Unity’s AI product portfolio — from concept through launch and iteration.
• Own the data-rights and identity frameworks underpinning Unity’s Grow business.
• Counsel product, engineering and data-science teams on privacy, IP and regulatory constraints.
• Draft and negotiate licenses, partnership and data-sharing agreements.
• Set and defend Unity’s positions in writing and build scalable templates and guidance.
