Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a Senior Counsel for Advanced Nuclear to provide strategic legal guidance to the leadership team, navigate regulatory environments, and lead negotiations on complex contracts and partnerships.

You will collaborate with Compliance, IP, Government Contracting, and Regulatory Affairs to deliver one-stop legal support, manage risk, and drive business objectives in advanced nuclear initiatives.

Qualifications

• JD degree from an accredited law school.
• Active member in good standing of at least one state bar.
• 8+ years of relevant experience in top-tier law firms or in-house legal departments.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal guidance to the Advanced Nuclear leadership team.
• Draft, negotiate, and manage complex commercial agreements including technology licensing and partnerships.
• Navigate NRC licensing processes and international regulatory regimes.
• Identify and mitigate legal, operational, and commercial risks.
• Ensure compliance with export controls, safety standards, and applicable laws.
