Meliora Law PLLC is seeking an experienced Senior Counsel to support our Fractional General Counsel, Corporate, and Commercial Real Estate practice groups. This fully remote role requires independent management of sophisticated matters and direct engagement with clients from inception to completion.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of legal experience, strong drafting and negotiation skills, and a business-minded, entrepreneurial approach.

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Active New York admission.
  • 8+ years of relevant legal experience.
  • Experience in corporate transactions, commercial contracts, fractional general counsel services, commercial real estate, or a combination thereof.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong project management and client management abilities.
  • Ability to thrive in a fully remote environment.

Responsibilities

  • Advising on day-to-day business, governance, operational, and strategic matters.

  • Handling commercial leasing, acquisitions, dispositions, and financing.
  • Managing client matters from inception through completion.

We are seeking an experienced, well-rounded Senior Counsel to join our team. This attorney will play a key role in supporting our growing Fractional General Counsel, Corporate, and Commercial Real Estate practice groups, managing sophisticated matters, advising clients, and helping us continue to build a modern, flexible law firm. This position may be structured as full-time or part-time and can be performed fully remotely. The Opportunity.

As Senior Counsel, you will play an important role in supporting our growing Fractional General Counsel, Corporate, and Commercial Real Estate practice groups. Your responsibilities may include:

What We're Looking For.

We are looking for someone who enjoys serving as a trusted advisor, managing complex matters independently, and helping clients navigate legal and business challenges with confidence and practical judgment. The ideal candidate is resourceful, business-minded, and capable of taking ownership of matters from start to finish with minimal oversight.

The ideal candidate will have:

·At least 8 years of legal experience

·Significant experience in corporate law, commercial contracts, fractional general counsel services, commercial real estate, or a combination thereof

·Strong drafting, negotiation, and client counseling skills

·Excellent legal and business judgment

·The ability to independently manage sophisticated matters and projects

·A practical, solution-oriented approach to legal practice

·An entrepreneurial mindset and the desire to contribute to a growing firm

Compensation and Benefits.

Meliora is committed to attracting exceptional attorneys by offering competitive compensation, meaningful flexibility, and a supportive professional environment.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $150,000 to $190,000 annually for full-time attorneys, depending on experience, expertise, anticipated responsibilities, and overall contribution to the firm. We offer a competitive benefit package and hybrid and fully remote schedules.We welcome both full-time and part-time candidates and are committed to creating a compensation structure that aligns with the experience, goals, and availability of the right attorney. Compensation for part-time attorneys will be prorated based on schedule and responsibilities.
