Job summary

Meliora Law PLLC is seeking an experienced Senior Counsel to support our Fractional General Counsel, Corporate, and Commercial Real Estate practice groups. This fully remote role requires independent management of sophisticated matters and direct engagement with clients from inception to completion.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of legal experience, strong drafting and negotiation skills, and a business-minded, entrepreneurial approach.

Qualifications

J.D. from an accredited law school.
Active New York admission.
8+ years of relevant legal experience.
Experience in corporate transactions, commercial contracts, fractional general counsel services, commercial real estate, or a combination thereof.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong project management and client management abilities.
Ability to thrive in a fully remote environment.
Entrepreneurial mindset and initiative.

Responsibilities

Advising on day-to-day business, governance, operational, and strategic matters.
Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements.
Supporting corporate transactions, business formations, acquisitions, reorganizations, and other strategic initiatives.
Handling commercial leasing, acquisitions, dispositions, and financing.
Managing client matters from inception through completion.
Serving as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for clients.
Collaborating with colleagues to deliver practical, business-focused legal solutions.
