Job summary

HydroPoint Data Systems seeks a senior cost accountant to own price, cost, and margin integrity across hardware, subscription, and service lines. You will interrogate numbers, surface variances, and drive policy changes reporting to the CFO.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in cost/manufacturing accounting, with senior or lead experience.
• Deep costing in manufacturing + inventory; BOMs, routings, PPV, and ASC 330.
• Experience across hardware, subscription/SaaS, and services revenue.
• Ability to defend analyses to CFO-level stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Margin analysis across hardware, subscription, and service categories.
• Identify variances against budget/forecast and quantify P&L impact.
• Recommend controls to improve policy and process to reduce risk.
• Establish standard costs, BOMs, inventory valuation; reconcile to GL.
• Design allocation methods for shared costs across products and revenue types.
• Monitor SaaS unit economics and flag margin erosion early.
• Partner with FP&A, revenue, ops, and sales to improve forecast accuracy.
• Prepare decision-ready reports for CFO and leadership.
