Job summary

Devoted Health is seeking a senior Cost Accountant to architect and scale the cost accounting framework across all business segments, driving margin optimization and accurate expense allocation.

You will own or support monthly close related to cost, develop driver-based models linking membership growth, staffing, and vendor spend to P&L, and partner with cross-functional teams to modernize reporting beyond spreadsheets.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years in finance and/or accounting roles.
• Hands-on cost accounting including allocation methods and cost center design.
• Core FP&A: budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting.
• Strong financial modeling with large data sets and AI/BI familiarity.
• Understanding of ERP/planning systems or building cost allocation models from scratch.
• Ability to explain financial results to non-finance audiences and to challenge assumptions.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost accounting framework and reporting across entities.
• Design and implement allocation methodologies for all segments.
• Provide market/product profitability analyses to guide margins.
• Support intercompany cost allocations and transfer pricing inputs.
• Build driver-based models linking growth, staffing, and spend to P&L and cash.
• Support monthly close for cost, including accruals and variance analysis.
• Develop business cases and ROI analyses, and headcount investments.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to standardize policy and move to scalable tooling.
• Support education and reporting for market, network, and clinical teams.
• Handle audits and regulatory inquiries as needed.
