Job summary

eTeam seeks an experienced Cost Manager / Quantity Surveyor to lead cost planning, budgeting, procurement, and contract administration for major construction projects. This leadership role drives commercial performance and ensures delivery within budget.

You will oversee tendering, cost reporting, and risk mitigation while mentoring junior staff and collaborating with project teams across disciplines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
  • MRICS / PQS or equivalent certification preferred.
  • 8–15+ years of experience in cost management or quantity surveying.
  • Strong knowledge of FIDIC and international construction contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cost planning, estimating, and budget development throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Prepare feasibility studies, cost reports, and financial forecasts.
  • Manage tendering, bid evaluations, and procurement activities.
  • Negotiate contracts and manage contractor/vendor relationships.
  • Monitor project costs, change orders, and variations.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company policies.
  • Conduct value engineering and identify cost optimization opportunities.
  • Lead commercial risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
  • Mentor junior quantity surveyors and commercial staff.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and finance teams.
