Job summary

Turner and Townsend in Philadelphia is seeking a Senior Cost Manager to lead cost planning and control for a portfolio spanning life sciences, laboratory, research and commercial construction on a large campus.

You will be the day-to-day client interface, developing and presenting cost plans, reviewing estimates, and negotiating pricing across design and construction teams. RICS accreditation is preferred; consultancy background advantageous.

Qualifications

• Degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying or engineering.
• 5–7 years in a cost management role in construction.
• RICS accreditation preferred; consultancy experience advantageous.
• Experience with life sciences, laboratory or commercial projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Produce and present the final cost plan across the project lifecycle.
• Develop cost plans and estimates through design milestones and issue updated plans.
• Review estimates from design team and general contractor and reconcile figures.
• Manage post-contract cost variances and change control processes.
• Prepare monthly cost reports for the client and track commitments.
• Lead pricing negotiations and value engineering discussions for the client.
