Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Senior Cost Manager to lead cost control on a major industrial construction program in Glendale, Kentucky. This client-facing role covers estimating, cost planning, forecasting, change management, and commercial controls across all lifecycle phases.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years in cost management on large-scale projects, preferably with industrial or manufacturing sectors, and a background in consultancy. On-site responsibilities and SOX controls may apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or field related to construction.
• Minimum 5-7 years of cost management in construction.
• RICS accredited or pursuing it is preferred.
• Experience leading cost management on large industrial/construction projects.
• Construction consultancy experience is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of procurement routes, value management, value engineering.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Estimating and negotiating change orders through the lifecycle.
• Provide estimate and cost planning including final cost plan.
• Review with design services and GC in developing cost estimates.
• Reconcile changes and ensure data accuracy.
• Prepare cost estimate updates with stakeholders.
• Develop cost plans through design milestones.
• Input into value engineering and optioneering.
• Review contractor pricing and lead negotiations.
• Produce monthly cost reports.
• Ensure final accounts are negotiated and closed timely.
