Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Senior Cost Manager to act as the key client interface, delivering value‑added cost management services across complex education and government capital projects.

Ideal candidates will have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, work independently while guiding multidisciplinary teams, and lead cost management from planning through closeout, including governance and funding considerations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering or field related to construction.
• 5–7 years of relevant experience in cost management in the construction industry.
• RICS accreditation preferred.
• Experience leading cost management on medium to large sized construction projects of medium to high complexity.

Responsibilities

• Estimate and negotiate change orders throughout the construction lifecycle.
• Produce and present final cost plans and cost estimates.
• Review cost estimates with design teams and general contractors.
• Manage cost checks, valuations and post‑contract variances.
• Prepare funding data and coordinate VE sessions with stakeholders.
• Negotiate contractor pricing to drive fair contract prices.
