Job Description

As a Senior Cost Engineer reporting to the Director of Project Controls, you will:

1. Collaborate with the Project Controls team on development, updates, and issuance of owner monthly progress reports.
2. Manage all T&M processes in accordance with owner or subcontractor requirements.
3. Input, monitor, and implement the JDE Quantity Book.
4. Draft letters and notices for review by the Senior Project Manager, in coordination with project demands.
5. Review owner notices, document impacts, and assess them with the project team.
6. Develop and manage all contract provisions with subcontractor terms and conditions.
7. Maintain PCO tracking and execute all project change requests from inception to completion.
8. Manage subcontract COR processes, including cost/quantity evaluations, estimating, negotiations, and review preparation.
9. Handle owner change directive processes, including evaluations, negotiations, and review preparation.
10. Prepare monthly Claims Cost Reports.
11. Conduct cost reporting (internal & external) for all Potential Change Orders (PCOs).

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in cost engineering, cost analysis, or financial management for construction infrastructure or building projects.
• Proficiency in cost management software (e.g., Procore) and estimating tools such as Excel, Primavera P6, or similar platforms.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Experience working with NJ Transit, GDC, or similar transit agencies is preferred.
