Position Overview: Senior Cost Estimator
Salary range: $130-$160K

Our client is seeking a Senior Cost Estimator to join their Orlando, FL office. The Senior Cost Estimator will play a vital role in developing detailed construction cost estimates for transportation projects, including roads, bridges, utilities, and heavy civil works, at various stages of design from concept to construction documents.
Responsibilities:
Develop detailed construction cost estimates for transportation projects, including roads, bridges, utilities, and heavy civil works.
Work with project teams to understand project scope requirements and ensure accurate cost estimates.
Participate in Alternatives Analysis, Value Engineering, and Risk Analysis as needed.
Collaborate with senior staff and clients to determine the best cost strategies for project delivery.
Manage and track the estimating process to ensure compliance with client requirements and schedules.
Utilize estimating systems such as FDOT and LRE for cost tracking and reporting.
Qualifications:
B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
Minimum of 10 years of related experience in transportation cost estimating.
Experience in estimating for a range of transportation projects (new construction, repairs, and maintenance).
Knowledge and experience with FDOT (Florida Department of Transportation) and LRE (Long Range Estimating) systems preferred.
Strong understanding of scope requirements for various types of transportation projects, including right-of-way, utilities, and maintenance of traffic.
