Job summary

Our client, a leading U.S. based aerospace manufacturing company in Billerica, is seeking a Senior Cost Estimator to join their team.

This role focuses on developing accurate cost models, coordinating supply chain activities, and supporting cross-functional teams in aerospace manufacturing. The position requires extensive experience in precision machining and cost estimation, with strong knowledge of ERP systems and Excel.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in precision machining or manufacturing engineering.
• Experience in aerospace, defence, or oil & gas industries preferred.
• Familiarity with tooling selection and machining processes for a variety of manufacturing applications.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and manufacturing data management tools.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) including Magnetic Particle, Pressure Testing, and Dye Penetrant.
• Hands-on experience with machine tools; CNC Lathe experience preferred.
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, organizational, and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to multitask effectively under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic bridge between estimating, supply chain, engineering, and manufacturing to ensure accurate cost models and efficient production execution.

Physical and Working Requirements:

• Able to work with the standard manufacturing noises thought out the day
• Be able to work on or near moving mechanical parts
• Understand and can operate large rotating machining centres and drilling equipment
• Have the ability to move Industrial Mobile Equipment throughout the shop

Hours and pay rates for the CNC Machinist:

1st shift:08:00am - 17:00pm - Monday - Friday

Pay range: $90,000 - $115,000 - (depending on experience)

This is a full-time permanent position for the successful Senior Cost Estimator
