Reviewing specifications and issues with design/quality engineering to resolve questions and product deviations. Working with the scheduler to maintain the optimal production sequence of jobs. Support quoting efforts and prepare first pass processing methods of highly complex Aerospace components.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, write, test (simulates), and optimize CNC programs of numeric controlled tooling machinery, by using CAD/CAM technology and methodology. Check completed programs by running simulations or tests on Vericut
  • Develop, determine, and describe the setups of the tooling machines (how to position and fix the workpiece and the tool in relation to the machine axes)
  • Provide up-to-date CNC programs, posted code (manuscript), set-up documentation, and tooling information (tool list, tool offset values, etc.) for CNC machined operations
  • Lead a Manufacturing team for successful execution of a product through the shop (both preparedness and in process support of shop floor execution). This includes running prove-outs on the machine floor to validate the process and get ready for production release.
  • Create and approve final work instructions for development and production hardware
  • Generate estimates for new hardware and enter into the quoting system
  • Participate and or lead Design for Manufacturing meetings
  • Support production activities by getting answers to process questions and working through established processes to resolve product non-conformance issues
