Job summary

NAPA Auto Parts, a leading U.S. automotive aftermarket distributor, seeks a Senior Manager, Cost Engineering & Should-Cost in Atlanta to drive cost analyses across a global supplier network. You will develop should-cost models, lead supplier negotiations, and guide cross-functional cost-reduction initiatives.

The role blends hands-on cost analytics with strategic leadership, reporting to senior leadership and shaping the company’s cost-management capability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in cost management, cost modeling or related fields.
• Strong should-cost modeling and commodity pricing knowledge.
• Significant supplier negotiation experience in global or complex environments.
• Advanced Excel modeling and data-analysis skills.
• Bachelor’s in Engineering/Business/Finance; MBA is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end cost management across a multi-billion-dollar procurement portfolio and supplier network.
• Develop and maintain should-cost models to analyze cost changes.
• Monitor markets, tariffs, inflation, and other cost drivers; translate into insights.
• Lead negotiations to achieve lowest total cost while maintaining quality and service.
• Identify cost-reduction opportunities and drive cross-functional initiatives.
• Partner with Engineering, Sourcing, and Finance to set cost-out budgets.
