Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Cost Controls Professional to lead program cost controls, reporting, and coordination across Engineering, Construction, Procurement, and Finance. You will partner with Project Managers to mitigate cost risks and provide strategic options.

Strong experience in cost estimating, control, and analytics is required. The role reports to the Pittsburgh, PA area with consideration for east coast candidates, and offers a hybrid working policy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business or related field.
• At least 10 years of related cost controls experience.
• Experience coordinating and executing project issues.
• Experience in cost engineering functions, including cost estimating, cost control, change management and cost analysis.
• Experience in project controls, with emphasis on financial issues.

Responsibilities

• Perform the controls for the Program and all associated projects and manage the overall program cost controls and reporting function.
• Interface with Engineering, Construction, Procurement, IT, Accounting and Finance to support cost efficiency.
• Provide status reports and analyses to management and clients.
• Identify problems and coordinate with the project team to ensure cost requirements are met.
• Prepare cost controls plans, financial summaries and related activities for project management.
• Manage work processes and procedures for cost management.
• Evaluate projects to ensure contractual obligations are met.
