Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Cost Controls Professional to join our team in Pittsburgh, PA. The role focuses on cost controls, cost estimating, and project controls across a range of projects within the Electronics group.

You will interface with engineering, construction, procurement, and finance to ensure accurate cost management and reporting. The ideal candidate brings a bachelor’s degree and 10+ years in cost controls, with proficiency in tools like Excel, MS Access, Power BI, and Primavera

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business or related field.
• At least 10 years of related cost controls experience.
• Experience working on various projects including coordinating and executing project issues.
• Experience in cost engineering functions: cost estimating, cost control, change management, cost analysis.
• Experience in project controls, commercial operations, with emphasis on project controls and financial issues.

Responsibilities

• Perform the controls for the Program and all associated projects and manage the overall program cost controls and reporting function.
• Interface with cross-functional teams to ensure cost efficiency and alignment with strategy.
• Provide status reports and analyses to management and clients.
• Identify problems and coordinate resolutions to meet cost requirements.
• Prepare cost controls plans, financial summaries, and related activities for project management.
• Manage work processes and procedures for cost management.
• Evaluate projects at each development stage to verify cost and financial activities.
• Review contract drafts to ensure cost control compliance.
