GAS Energy Staffing LLC is seeking a seasoned Cost Control Manager to lead project cost management for major capital initiatives in Richmond, VA. You will oversee budgets, forecasting, and EAC development, providing critical financial visibility to client and PMC leadership.

The role requires extensive experience with cost controls, ERP systems, and advanced reporting. Contract hire engagement offers exposure to large-scale programs across regulated industries, with leadership responsibilities.

Qualifications

Minimum 15 years of cost control, cost management, forecasting, or project controls experience supporting major capital projects.
Experience managing project budgets, commitments, expenditures, forecasting, and cost reporting.
Strong understanding of cost management, forecasting methodologies, project accounting interfaces, and performance analysis.
Experience supporting large industrial, pharmaceutical, life sciences, energy, or infrastructure projects.
Experience supporting pharmaceutical, biotechnology, life sciences, or other regulated manufacturing projects preferred.
Experience in an Owner's Representative, PMC, EPCM, or Integrated Project Management Team (IPMT) environment preferred.
Experience supporting large projects with multiple phases exceeding $500 million TIC.
Proficiency with EcoSys, SAP, Oracle, Power BI, or similar project cost management and reporting systems preferred.
Professional certifications such as CCP®, EVP®, PMP®, or equivalent project controls credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead project cost management activities, including budgets, commitments, expenditures, forecasting, and cost performance reporting.
Monitor project performance against approved budgets, identifying trends, variances, risks, and opportunities.
Develop and maintain estimate-at-completion (EAC), cash flow, and funding forecasts.
Support change management activities by evaluating cost impacts and maintaining budget alignment.
Provide cost analysis, forecasting insights, and performance reporting to client and PMC leadership.
Coordinate with project stakeholders to ensure accurate cost collection, reporting, and forecasting.
Lead and develop the cost control team while promoting cost management best practices.
