QTS Data Centers in the United States seeks a Senior Cost Control Manager to oversee budgets for major construction and infrastructure projects, ensuring financial discipline and alignment with strategic goals. You will forecast, track, and maintain costs with project teams, vendors, and finance partners.

The role requires 10+ years in cost control within construction or PM, plus strong contract/change management and advanced software skills (Workday, e-Builder, Procore, Autodesk Construction

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, financing, or accounting; or relevant professional experience.
• Ten or more years of experience in cost control, construction, or project management with prior experience in a senior or leadership role.
• Deep expertise in construction contract documents, change management and budget control processes.
• Advanced proficiency in financial and project management software (e.g., Workday, e-Builder, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud).
• Proven ability to provide detailed and accurate financial forecasts, track project costs and manage budgets through all stages of a project lifecycle.
• Ability to analyze complex financial data and present recommendations clearly to senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Leadership & Team Development: Lead onsite cost team and ensure adherence to cost control processes.
• Project Budget Oversight: Create and validate budgets; monitor performance and identify savings.
• Contract & Change Order Management: Review contracts and approve change orders with cost implications.
• Cost Analysis & Forecasting: Analyze forecasts, cash flows, and variance reporting.
• Vendor & Subcontractor Management: Oversee procurement and buyout savings.
• Collaboration & Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with project teams, finance and external consultants.
• Financial Reporting & Documentation: Produce cost reports and support loan draws.
• Risk Management & Compliance: Mitigate cost-related risks and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Mentorship & Knowledge Transfer: Train teams on cost control practices.
• Third-Party Oversight: Manage cost auditing teams and consultants.
