Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior-Level Cost Control Analyst to join our Project Controls team, supporting construction and engineering projects from planning through execution. You will partner with project managers, construction teams, and vendors to ensure accurate cost tracking, forecasting, and reporting that drives strong project outcomes.

This role requires deep cost management expertise, EVMS experience, and the ability to clearly communicate insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 15+ years of experience in project controls with emphasis on cost management.
• Familiarity with construction contracts, field operations, and pay application processes.
• Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) preferred.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to present cost insights clearly.
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional project environments.
• Willingness to travel for periodic on-site project support.

Responsibilities

• Lead setup, monitoring, and updates of project cost and progress metrics.
• Manage budget development and revisions, tracking scope changes and trends, and monthly expenditure and forecast reporting.
• Maintain accurate data within cost management systems and tools.
• Analyze cost and revenue performance and recommend corrective actions to project leadership.
• Review contractor cost submissions and pay applications for accuracy and contract compliance.
• Track and report construction progress using Earned Value Management (EVM) principles.
• Coordinate with contractors to gather weekly progress updates and upload data into project systems.
• Collaborate daily with project controls, construction teams, and vendors to support successful execution.
