GE Aerospace in Hamilton, Ohio seeks a Senior Cost Analyst to build and maintain costing processes supporting supply chain operations. You will partner with Finance, Manufacturing, and Engineering to streamline part cost accumulation and reporting, ensuring accurate cost flow for inventory valuation and performance insights.

The role requires a strong cost accounting foundation, 3–5 years of experience, and advanced Excel skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with cost accounting foundation.
3–5 years of cost accounting experience in manufacturing or supply chain environment.
Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical/problem-solving capability.
Ability to communicate complex costing topics clearly to finance and non-finance stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Review and oversee shop-level costing activities to ensure accurate costing in line with inventory costing practices.
Research inventory valuation swings and cost movements; communicate explanations to finance managers and stakeholders.
Provide ongoing monthly support to shop finance teams by linking operating results to cost and inventory transactions.
Monitor cost management system inventory balance activity and resolve issues like negative values.
Support year-end baseline setting for assigned shops and establish expected part costs for the next year.
Assist annual physical inventories and travel to sites as required.
Collaborate cross-functionally to drive issue resolution and improve data quality.
Maintain documentation, reconciliations, and communications to support audit readiness.
