Job summary

PACCAR's Kenworth Truck Company in Washington state seeks a Sr. Cost Accounting Supervisor to lead the division cost accounting function with a focus on standard margin analysis, month-end close, and financial reporting.

The position includes 1-2 direct reports and opportunities to influence cost controls across the business. You will analyze cost reserves, maintain standard costs, and support forecasts with data analytics to identify cost of sales reductions.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Accounting with accounting emphasis.
• Minimum 5+ years of accounting experience with increasing responsibility.
• Experience with SAP ERP and BI tools.
• Strong cost accounting and forecasting knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Execute key month-end close processes.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and year-end financial reports on margins and cost of sales.
• Maintain and update standard costs.
• Assist with cost of sales forecasts and variance analyses.
• Analyze cost reserves and related balances for accuracy.
• Support internal controls and audits; drive process improvements with data analytics.
• Collaborate with manufacturing and finance to drive profitability.
