Job summary

Achieve Life Sciences, Inc. is seeking a Senior Manager, Cost Accounting to own the cost accounting function and translate complex financial data into actionable business insights.

You will shape costing methodologies, strengthen inventory management, and partner across Finance, Operations, CMC, and Supply Chain to inform production, pricing, and profitability decisions. Reporting to the Vice President of Finance, you will manage the cost accounting close, internal controls, and system

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
• 7+ years progressive accounting with 3+ years cost accounting in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, standard costing, inventory accounting and variances.
• ERP experience with cost accounting configuration; Dynamics GP preferred; SAP/Oracle/NetSuite also relevant.
• Advanced Excel skills for modeling, data analysis, and forecasting.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost accounting and inventory management; maintain standard costing and variance analysis.
• Oversee month-end and quarter-end close activities, journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Strengthen internal controls and maintain compliance with U.S. GAAP and SOX requirements.
• Partner with Operations, CMC and Supply Chain on budgeting, forecasting, and cost of goods sold analysis.
• Maintain cost accounting ERP configuration; drive process improvements and reporting automation.
• Develop operational cost metrics and KPI dashboards for visibility into manufacturing costs.
