Job summary

Supplyone seeks an experienced Cost Accounting Manager to lead cost accounting, inventory valuation, and cost control initiatives in a manufacturing environment. You will partner with Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and senior leadership to ensure accurate costing and financial reporting.

This role requires 7+ years of cost accounting experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to drive process improvements across multiple sites. Travel 20-30% is involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• 7+ years of cost accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of inventory accounting and cost accounting principles.
• Experience with standard costing, variance analysis, inventory valuation, and manufacturing or operational accounting.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, financial modeling, and data analysis.
• Experience working with Amtech/Encore preferred but not required.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify and resolve financial discrepancies.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and analyze the Company’s costing systems and standard costs, including material, labor, overhead, and production costs.
• Analyze cost variances and provide actionable explanations and recommendations to management.
• Monitor and analyze variances to actual P&L costs including COGS, gross margins, production costs, purchase price variances, labor variances, and overhead absorption.
• Update costs all of the Company’s locations every 6 months.
• Develop, maintain and guide the Company’s cost accounting strategy and methodology.
• Establish and maintain effective internal controls over inventory and cost accounting processes.
• Assist with internal and external audits, including preparation of supporting schedules and documentation.
• Identify opportunities to automate, streamline, and improve accounting processes and reporting.
• Support ERP implementations, system enhancements, and improvements to costing and financial reporting processes.
• Perform ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as requested by Finance leadership.
