Job summary

Aurora Organic Dairy is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant in Boulder, CO to lead inventory and product costing activities within a manufacturing setting. You will own the month-end close for inventory and related accounts, maintain standard costs, and collaborate with Operations, FP&A, and leadership to deliver actionable cost insights.

The role requires 5+ years in cost accounting within food/beverage manufacturing, advanced Excel, and ERP experience (INFOR M3).

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Accounting or Finance or an equivalent combination
• CMA certification preferred
• 5+ years of progressive accounting and cost accounting in manufacturing

Responsibilities

• Own the month-end close process for inventory, material movement, product costing, and related balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare data for milk on consolidated financials, including inventory absorption and profit elimination between entities.
• Maintain and enhance standard costs in the ERP system with seasonal trends and manufacturing changes.
• Partner with FP&A and Operations to develop product cost assumptions, budgets, forecasts, and scenario analyses.
• Manage financial accounting and reconciliation for external production and co-packing operations.
• Perform detailed inventory roll-forward analyses by facility, validating accuracy and yields.
