Silgan Containers, a leading North American metal packaging manufacturer, seeks a Senior Accountant - Operations to join our finance team in Brookfield, WI. This high-visibility role partners with plant operations and procurement to ensure accurate cost accounting, inventory control, and robust financial reporting.

You will analyze manufacturing costs, prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and drive improvements in cost accounting processes, while supporting cross-functional initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing or cost accounting.
• Experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (JDE) or similar ERP.
• Advanced Excel skills including PivotTables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP.
• Strong analytical and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support metal procurement, freight, inventory, and cost accounting processes.
• Analyze manufacturing costs and provide operational reporting.
• Prepare monthly journal entries and reconciliations.
• Investigate freight and purchase order variances.
• Collaborate with plant operations, procurement, and finance teams.
