Job summary

Dover Fueling Solutions (DFS) is hiring for a Cost Accounting & Inventory role in Austin, TX. This role focuses on standard costing, variance analysis, and accurate inventory valuation, partnering with Operations, Procurement, Engineering, and Supply Chain.

You will support monthly close, prepare journal entries, and drive cost improvements while communicating financial results to non-finance stakeholders. The position offers a discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of standard costing, inventory accounting, reconciliations, and COGS.
• Experience with BOM/routing, inventory reserves, cycle counts, and physical inventory processes.
• Proficiency in GAAP and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor product costing, including standard costs, bills of materials, labor, and overhead rates.
• Analyze manufacturing and inventory transactions to ensure accurate cost accounting and inventory valuation.
• Review and reconcile inventory balances, cost layers, reserves, and related general ledger accounts.
• Support monthly close processes for inventory and cost accounting; prepare journal entries and reconciliations.
• Identify and drive improvements to costing and inventory processes across functions.
