Job summary

CAPTEK Softgel International is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant to join our cost-focused finance team in Cerritos, CA. This role drives standard costs, BOM development, and routing data for our vitamins and dietary supplement contract manufacturing processes.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in manufacturing cost accounting, strong ERP experience, and advanced Excel skills. You will analyze variances, support monthly closes, and contribute to budgeting and cost-control initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
5+ years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment (VMS/pharma/nutraceuticals/food & beverage preferred).
Strong costing, BOMs, inventory control, and ERP familiarity (NetSuite/SAP/Oracle).
Advanced Excel and analytical skills; excellent cross-functional communication.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain standard costs, BOMs, and routing data.
Analyze variances (labor, material, overhead) and recommend corrective actions.
Perform monthly/quarterly inventory valuation and reconcile accounts.
Assist with COGS analysis and monthly closes; support forecasting.
Collaborate with Operations/Supply Chain on cost trends and process improvements.
