Job summary

BMG is seeking a detail oriented Senior Accountant to join our Beaverton, MI headquarters. This role focuses on cost accounting, general ledger integrity, and timely financial reporting for manufacturing locations.

The candidate should have manufacturing experience, strong Excel skills, and ERP proficiency. This position collaborates across departments and supports budgeting, forecasting, and audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent 5 years of related work experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general accounting systems.
• ERP experience – Epicor preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States on a permanent basis; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements on a monthly and yearly basis in accordance with GAAP.
• Reconcile and balance the general ledger and subsidiary ledger accounts monthly.
• Initiate and enter journal entries.
• Update and distribute the job cost report.
• Assist in cash flow and financial forecasting.
• Review intercompany balances monthly.
• Review costing in system.
• Manage daily cycle counts.
• Initiate all payments in system and obtain approvals.
• Maintain daily inventory level reports for management.
• Support special projects for management.
• Assist with year-end audit requests and annual operating budget.
