Job summary

Arclin seeks a Senior Cost Accountant to join the Global Cost Accounting team, partnering with Pontchartrain, LA and Monroe, NC sites. Based in Richmond, VA, this role focuses on inventory and cost accounting, manufacturing financial reporting, and fixed asset oversight across U.S. operations.

The role requires strong GAAP knowledge, collaboration with leadership, and the ability to drive continuous improvements in cost control and accuracy. Up to 20% travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA or CMA certification preferred.
• 5+ years of cost accounting or manufacturing finance experience.
• Experience with SAP, Oracle, or JD Edwards ERP systems.
• Experience supporting multi-site manufacturing operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary cost and inventory accounting resource for assigned manufacturing facilities.
• Maintain standard costs and analyze manufacturing variances (material, labor, overhead, yield).
• Monitor manufacturing costs and identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Perform inventory reconciliations, cycle counts, and physical inventories; manage adjustments.
• Provide guidance on fixed asset accounting and capital projects; support SOX controls.
• Prepare and review month-end close and financial reporting for inventory and cost accounts.
• Partner with Plant Managers and Operations to drive cost optimization and reporting quality.
