Job summary

CFS is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant in a hybrid role in Downers Grove, IL. You will manage standard costing, BOM updates, and cost roll processes while leading variance analyses and supporting monthly close.

This position collaborates across operations, engineering, and supply chain to drive cost improvements and inventory accuracy. The role offers exposure to acquisitions and integration work within a medium-sized company, with robust benefits and opportunities to impact manufacturing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
• 4+ years of accounting experience, including 2+ years in cost accounting.
• Experience with manufacturing costing, inventory, and ERP systems.
• Advanced Excel skills required.

Responsibilities

• Manage standard costing, BOM updates, and cost roll processes.
• Lead cost variance analysis (material, labor, overhead) and reporting.
• Support monthly close including journal entries, reconciliations, and inventory reporting.
• Oversee inventory accounting accuracy, including cycle counts and physical inventory.
• Partner cross-functionally to improve costing processes and reporting.
