Job summary

Ferrotec USA is seeking a seasoned Cost Accountant to join our Bedford, NH site. You will ensure data integrity for inventory costs, maintain standard costs, and provide timely month-end analyses and journal entries. Strong ERP/MRP II experience and confidentiality are essential.

The role supports budgeting, forecasting, and audits, with opportunities for process improvements across cost centers and manufacturing operations. On-site work with competitive benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• 7 years cost accounting experience in a standard cost manufacturing environment.
• Experience in an advanced MRP II environment.
• Proficient in Windows-based PC software packages including spreadsheet and word processing (Excel and Word, etc.)
• Strong interpersonal and analytical skills, and proven problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy and integrity of inventory cost data.
• Maintain standard material costs and rates; evaluate pricing regularly.
• Review reports for items with 0 standard cost and coordinate updates with Operations.
• Monitor obsolete/excess inventory and set reserves.
• Review labor and overhead rates for proper product pricing.
• Prepare and distribute cost center reports and month-end reconciliations.
• Prepare cost accounting journal entries and reconcile perpetual inventory to GL.
• Assist in budget/forecast for cost of goods and manufacturing expenses.
• Prepare quarterly and year-end audit documentation.
