The position will oversee standard costing, inventory analysis, fixed assets, and manufacturing reporting while collaborating with Accounting, Operations, Purchasing, and other areas of the business.

Qualifications

• Cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with standard costing, BOMs, inventory, and manufacturing variances.
• Fixed asset accounting experience.
• Strong Excel skills and experience working with ERP systems.
• Ability to work across Accounting, Operations, Purchasing, and other areas of the organization.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of standard costing, cost roll-ups, and manufacturing variance analysis.
• Manage fixed asset accounting including capitalization, depreciation, and disposals.
• Perform BOM cost roll-ups and research purchase price variances.
• Analyze inventory, production costs, gross margins, and other manufacturing activity.
• Partner with Operations, Purchasing, and other business leaders to understand cost drivers and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Prepare monthly cost and inventory reporting and provide analysis to management.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting related to manufacturing costs and inventory.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Participate in process improvements, system enhancements, and special projects.

KBW Financial Staffing and Recruiting is working with a growing manufacturing organization in the Bedford, NH area in their search for a Senior Cost Accountant. This position will have responsibility for cost accounting, inventory analysis, fixed assets, and manufacturing reporting while working closely with Accounting, Operations, Purchasing, and other areas of the business.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Cost Accountant, or Staff Accountant who enjoys working in a complex manufacturing environment and wants broader exposure within a growing organization.
