Job summary

KBW Financial Staffing & Recruiting is seeking a Senior Cost Accountant for a growing manufacturing organization in the Greater Dover, NH area. The role focuses on standard costing, inventory valuation, and partnering with operations to improve costing accuracy and financial performance.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of cost accounting experience in manufacturing, strong knowledge of GAAP, and experience with ERP systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
5+ years of cost accounting experience within a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of standard costing, inventory, and GAAP.
Experience supporting ERP implementations or system migrations preferred.
Advanced Excel skills and experience with integrated ERP systems.
Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

Maintain and update standard costs, inventory valuation, and overhead rates.
Partner with operations and engineering to ensure accurate product costing.
Support ERP implementation, data validation, and process improvements.
Perform cost analysis, inventory reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
Analyze manufacturing variances and provide insights to improve profitability.
Develop and enhance cost accounting processes and internal controls.
