Job summary

Jobtailor in Colorado is seeking an experienced corrosion control technician to install, maintain, and monitor cathodic protection systems. You will perform non-destructive testing, troubleshoot interference issues, and inspect protective tools and equipment.

Travel to multiple sites is required, with the ability to work in confined spaces, lift heavy loads, and respond to emergency conditions. A strong background in maps, atlas pages, and rectifier reports is essential, plus NACE certification

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of corrosion control experience.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and government regulations.
• Experience locating lines and reading maps.
• Ability to perform heavy work (50–100 lbs occasionally).
• Ability to travel to other locations as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced-level support for installation, maintenance, and monitoring of corrosion control systems.
• Perform non-destructive testing on facilities.
• Install, test, adjust, and repair rectifiers, anodes, and test points.
• Troubleshoot and repair interference and foreign contact problems.
• Perform continuity tests, soil resistivity surveys, and other special surveys.
• Inspect, calibrate, maintain, and repair cathodic protection tools and equipment.
• Drive and ensure maintenance is completed on company vehicles.
• Complete and update test readings, atlas pages, maps, plats, diagrams, job orders, completion reports, and equipment maintenance reports.
• Compile, verify, and prepare forecast-versus-actual expense information and governmental, regulatory, financial, and reconciliation reports.
• Measure internal, external, and atmospheric corrosion according to industry standards.
• Conduct environmental activities as specified by the position.
• Perform Department of Transportation-covered pipeline operations, maintenance, or emergency-response functions as assigned.
• Remain alert and respond immediately to dangerous or hazardous conditions.
