Job summary

Enbridge is seeking a Senior Corrosion Engineer to join its Salt Lake City team. You will provide senior corrosion engineering expertise to support safe and compliant operation of natural gas assets across UT, WY, and ID. You will lead corrosion-control initiatives, influence standards, and mentor engineers.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, 6+ years of related experience, and PE eligibility. AMPP/NACE certification is preferred, with travel <20% and the ability to work in field environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
• 6+ years of directly related engineering experience.
• Eligible to obtain or have a Professional Engineering (P.E.) designation.
• AMPP/NACE certification(s) preferred.
• Advanced understanding of pipeline engineering, corrosion, and asset integrity principles.
• Ability to solve complex problems with safety and risk considerations.
• Strong communication to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex corrosion engineering activities, including cathodic protection system design and optimization, technical studies, corrosion-control specifications, design reviews, field evaluations, and engineering assessments.
• Evaluate external and internal corrosion risks using surveys, coating assessments, data, and inspections to mitigate.
• Analyze AC/DC and stray-current interference and develop monitoring and mitigation solutions.
• Provide senior technical expertise across corrosion monitoring, coatings, and related equipment.
• Develop and interpret corrosion-control standards, specifications, and procedures for projects and regulatory compliance.
• Mentor engineers, coordinate cross-functional initiatives, and influence stakeholders.
