Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, plus five years of correctional experience.
• At least two years of supervisory experience is required.
• Must meet Criminal Justice Standards (12 NCAC 09G.0302).
• Must pass criminal background check and drug screening.
• Must complete medical and psychological evaluations.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Supervising staff, evaluating program design to meet offender needs, and coordinating programs with custody staff.
• Conducting offender orientations covering administration, disciplinary segregation, education, health, operations, programs, and work assignments.
• Approving unit classifications and disciplinary actions with authority.
