Job summary

State of North Carolina - Adult Correction seeks a Correctional Housing Unit Manager II (S) at Scotland Correctional Institution in Laurinburg to oversee a close custody housing unit. Reporting to the Correctional Associate Warden III, you will supervise staff, coordinate programs, and ensure adherence to policy while supporting offender rehabilitation.

Must meet CJ standards and pass background checks; position requires full-time hours and state benefits.

Qualifications

• Supervisory experience in a prison facility.
• Experience with facility operations.
• Knowledge of Prisons’ policy and procedures.
• Strong report writing skills.
• Counseling skills.
• Must be eligible for certification by NC CJ Education & Training Standards Commission.
• Criminal background check and drug screen required.
• Medical and psychological evaluations required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Adverse Weather Reporting: Mandatory.

Responsibilities
