Job summary

IDEX Consulting is recruiting a mid-level to senior tax associate for a major US law firm experiencing national expansion. The role is transactional, focusing on acquisitions, dispositions, and financing, with cross-border elements and opportunities in 1031 exchanges and QSBS planning.

You will plan structures, draft operative tax provisions, and advise on tax-free restructurings. You will work directly with clients, coordinate with corporate, real estate and restructuring teams, and supervise

Qualifications

• Four to eight years of post-qualification experience in corporate and transactional tax.
• Admission to the bar in the state of intended residence required.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; LL.M. welcomed but not required.

Responsibilities

• Plan structures and draft operative tax provisions in agreements.
• Advise on tax-free reorganisations and tax-deferred arrangements.
• Draft provisions in purchase agreements, merger agreements and JV documents.
• Work closely with other practice groups and accountants; direct client contact.
• Contribute to international tax work, inbound and outbound.
