Job summary

Avenue in Chicago is seeking a Senior Corporate Recruiter to architect our talent strategy and build a high-performing recruiting team from scratch. You will lead campus recruiting, craft innovative recruitment strategies, and engage top talent beyond traditional job boards.

Collaborating with the executive team and HR, you will ensure a world-class candidate experience from first contact to day one, while driving the growth of a fast-paced 3PL organization.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of recruiting experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience in 3PL, freight brokerage, or high-volume recruiting is a plus.

What You’ll Do

• Build & Lead: Construct a high-performing recruiting team from the ground up to fuel Avenue’s aggressive growth in the highly competitive 3PL space.


• Own Campus Recruiting: Cultivate deep relationships with university career services, student groups, and academic leaders. You'll be the face of Avenue on campus, building a massive pipeline of early-career talent eager to break into logistics.


• Strategize & Execute: Design innovative talent acquisition strategies to attract relentless sales professionals—from hungry entry-level talent to seasoned freight veterans.


• Hunt for Top Talent: Go beyond the job boards. Leverage LinkedIn Recruiter, our ATS, social media, and your network to uncover and engage high-quality active and passive candidates.


• Amplify Our Brand: Promote the Avenue brand across all touchpoints. Plan, organize, and lead high-energy recruitment events that put us on the map and resonate with a modern, driven workforce.


• Collaborate: Partner seamlessly with our HR team on New Hire Orientation and other strategic initiatives to ensure a world-class candidate experience from first contact to day one.

What You Bring

• Experience: 2–5 years of recruiting experience in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment (experience in 3PL, freight brokerage, or high-volume sales recruiting is a massive plus). Bachelor’s degree required.
