Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Corporate/Joint Venture Associate to join our established law firm in New York. This role focuses on structuring and managing corporate entities and joint ventures, with emphasis on governance, contract drafting, and client advisory.

The ideal candidate holds a JD with at least 5 years in corporate law, including JV work, and demonstrates strong negotiation, communication, and research skills.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• At least 5 years of experience in corporate law, focusing on joint ventures and business formations.
• Strong knowledge of corporate governance principles.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks with professionalism and attention to detail.
• Proven proficiency in legal research and writing.
• Bar admission in the relevant state.
• Strategic and analytical thinking with proactive problem-solving.
• Strong commitment to client service and ethical practice.

Responsibilities

• Assist in structuring, formation, and management of corporate entities and joint ventures.
• Advise on corporate governance; draft and review policies and procedures.
• Conduct legal research and prepare documents, contracts, and agreements.
• Advise clients on legal risks and recommended strategies.
• Coordinate with team to address all legal aspects of transactions.
• Stay updated on changes in laws affecting governance and joint ventures.
• Participate in business development events, including networking, seminars, and conferences.
